Oliver Wineries

Enjoy a glass of Okanagan wine

Nestled in the beautiful South Okanagan, Oliver is known as the Wine Capital of Canada. Vineyards dot the landscape and provide the necessary ingredients to produce some of the finest vintages in the country. Oliver is home to more than 20 of British Columbia’s licensed, internationally recognized wineries.

The “Golden Mile” on the west bench is recognized as a distinctive viticultural area that is rich with glacial deposits formed from the ice age. Other wineries located on the “Black Sage” east bench have equally unique growing climates with deep sandy deposits. Winemakers say that different soil conditions, known as terroir, have an identifiable impact on the flavour of the wines.

We encourage you to check out the Oliver Tourism Association’s website for more information on winery tours and other activities available in the Southern Okanagan region.

The Cactus Tree is ideally located for day tripping throughout the South Okanagan.  Spend your days exploring the wineries, breweries, golf courses and hiking trails that fill our famous valley and return to the comforts of the Cactus Tree.  Plan your circle tour.
